The whole technology stack around the work: student management system configuration, reporting, integrations and workflow review, plus purpose-built tools where off-the-shelf systems fall short. Clean, connected systems mean staff time goes to students, not spreadsheets.
Student support
Enrolment, scheduling, progression and completion. Design work on the journey, and hands-on support inside it, including the unglamorous administration when the desk is buried. The aim is always the same: students who know where they are and what comes next.
Resources
Learning and assessment resource development, from refreshing superseded units to building materials for new scope. A growing focus: digital capability, and the considered use of AI in delivery and assessment. Resources that work for trainers and assessors in the room, not just the validation file.
Compliance
Funding evidence, training plans, sign-offs and claims, built to stay visible and aligned from enrolment onward. The goal is simple: gaps that surface early, and audit time without the scramble.
How I work
- Observe. Start by watching how the work really happens, not how the org chart says it does. The patterns are usually there; they're just hard to see from inside.
- Build holistically. Every organisation has its own moving pieces and idiosyncrasies. Design for the whole system: the people doing the work and the students moving through it.
- Teach it. Nothing I build should need me forever. Plain-language guides, walkthroughs, and a team confident to run it themselves.
About
I'm Estelle Timmermans. More than a decade inside registered training organisations: front-line administration, operations coordination and systems development, from fast-paced fee-for-service short courses to four-year apprenticeships. That means the inside view of enrolments, timetabling, funding claims, student management systems, and the hundred small processes that decide whether a student's journey runs smoothly or stalls.
What ties it all together is a simple belief: when the behind-the-scenes runs well, the attention goes where it belongs — to the student.
